‘The Road Less Travelled’ Woodside Sauvignon Blanc
Not your average Sauvignon Blanc, a significant portion of this wine underwent a wild fermentation in barrel. Another portion was fermented on skins. The balance was barrel fermented with inoculated yeasts. Aging sur lie with weekly battonage to encourages further textural development. A low sulpher régime encourages savory character. Six months maturation in seasoned French oak barriques provide a further textural influence. This is intended to be a more sophisticated, grown up style of wine, equally at home being slurped on a sunny afternoon, or as an accompiment to food. Inspired by Pouilly-Fume styles, this is a textured and complex wine, finishing with mineral acidity
The Chatterbox Koonunga Shiraz
The Chatterbox celebrates everything that’s great about youth. Vibrance, energy, enthusiasm, and the wonderment of new discovery. The Chatterbox is a medium bodied, yet generously flavoured style of Barossa Shiraz that is approachable in its youth.
The Chatterbox is a fragrant, earthy medium bodied Koonunga Shiraz. Maturation in only seasoned French oak barrels encourages fineness of tannin and preservation of the vibrance and freshness of fruit character. No fining nor filtration is performed prior to bottling.
Arete Single Vineyard Barossa Shiraz
Sourced from the best single parcel of fruit for the vintage, this wine is intense in every way. Matured in new Francois Freres French Oak barrels, this wine shows ample structure, with balanced acid and fine grained tannin on the finish. This is a very individual expression of vigneron, cooper and winemaker, and one which will reward patient cellaring.
